During Dressage Tolbert, it was Hennie Roffel’s name that topped the results of the event’s grand finale, the freestyle. With Gentleman Jack TKJ (Hessel 480), she achieved the highest score in the Light Tour (Intermediaire 1 level) with a PR of 74.325%. She did the same with Remy Martin TKJ (Alwin 469), who won the Grand Tour and achieved the fourth-best result overall (73.6%).
Hennie was also very pleased with the regular Grand Prix test on Thursday. ‘It was Rémy’s second test at this highest level, and over 66.304% is a wonderful score. We had nice points for the passage-piaffe-tour and the pirouettes. I had a mistake in the one-tempi changes. The entry went very well, but after that I didn’t quite ride it enough to finish the series flawlessly. But Rémy was beautifully ‘on’ and the balance and impulsion were already so much better than at our debut at CHIO Rotterdam in June! It is also good to see that there is still a lot of room for improvement.’
‘The Freestyle is a party’
’Because she had just returned from vacation, Hennie had decided with herself that two tests would be sufficient. She opted for one regular test and the Freestyle. ‘I always find the Freestyle beautiful to ride. I also think I have really cool music for both stallions. I certainly owe the good scores for both horses to the artistic score and the choreography that suits them well. Riding the Freestyle with Rémy is always a party; his attitude is top-notch anyway, and it seems as if he takes it a step further thanks to the music. I think his Freestyle is beautiful; the music is very calm, which suits him well.’

Tijdens Dressage Tolbert was het Hennie Roffel’s naam die bovenaan prijkte in de uitslag van de uitsmijter van het evenement, de kür op muziek. Met Gentleman Jack TKJ (Hessel 480) behaalde ze de hoogste score, in de Lichte Tour (Intermediair 1-niveau) met een PR van 74.325%. Ditzelfde deed ze met Remy Martin TKJ (Alwin 469), die de Zware Tour won, en overall het vierde resultaat neerzette (73.6%).
Over de reguliere Grand Prix proef op de donderdag was Hennie ook heel tevreden. ‘Het was Rémy’s tweede proef op dit hoogste niveau, en dan is ruim 66,304% een heerlijke score. We hadden mooie punten voor de passage-piaffe-tour en de pirouetttes. Ik had een misser in de eners. De inzet ging heel fijn, maar daarna reed ik er net te weinig aan om de serie foutloos af te maken. Maar Rémy was mooi ‘aan’ en de balans en afdruk was al zoveel beter dan bij ons debuut op CHIO Rotterdam in juni! Het is ook goed om te merken dat er nog veel groei in zit.’
‘De kür is een feestje’
’Omdat ze net terug was van vakantie, had Hennie met zichzelf afgesproken dat twee proeven voldoende was. Ze koos voor één reguliere proef en de kür. ‘Ik vind de kür altijd prachtig om te rijden. Voor beide hengsten heb ik ook heel gave muziek, vind ik. De goede scores bij beide paarden heb ik zeker ook te danken aan de artistieke score en de choreografie die hen goed ligt. Met Rémy de kür rijden is altijd een feestje; zijn instelling is sowieso al top en het lijkt wel alsof hij er door de muziek nog een stapje bovenop doet. Zijn kür vind ik prachtig; de muziek is heel rustig, dat past hem goed.’
