Rommert 498 Sport Elite AA to Mexico

KFPS studbook stallion Rommert 498 Sport Elite AA is moving to Finca Sanro in Mexico.

The stallion, bred by Pieter and Tiety Okkema of Stal De Noeste Hoeve, will become a stablemate of Dedmer 519 and Beant 517, while studbook stallion Jimte 533 joins the now impressive stable of stallions of Jonathan Robles and Sandra Sanchez of Finca Sanro at the end of the year.

Sport Elite in three disciplines

The 10-year-old stallion, stabled at Albert Lueks stud, has distinguished himself in sport over the past year, earning him the Sport Elite predicate in three disciplines. At the stallion inspection,

Rommert 498 (Norbert 444 x Jasper 366) was champion in the Horses2fly KPFS sport competition for harness and presented himself remarkably well in the Friesian Proms with Lieke Lueks. In 2022, he became KFPS Stallion Champion for the show carriage and in the long lines. In 2021, he won the Silverbowl for the studbook stallion championship for the sjees.
Pieter and Tiety Okkema bred Rommert 498 out of Lieske fan 'e Welle Ster Preferent Prestatie (Jasper 366 x Oege 267) and have always retained his ownership.

Finally approved in 2022

That Rommert 498 would become a good sport horse was already evident from his performance test.

The powerful use of the hindquarters, in particular, captures the imagination.

A trait he passes on to his offspring. In 2022, he was also definitively approved based on the performance of his offspring, with the notation that his offspring possess 'exemplary stable behavior'.
